Respite is a service that is provided to Individuals who cannot care for themselves and whose main caregiver is absent or in need of momentary relief of care giving duties. Our Respite service is provided in or out the Individual’s home depending on the need of Individual and family. Our Respite service provides temporary relief from the demands of caregiving, which helps reduce overall family stress.  This often enables families to better meet the needs of their loved one.

At Mercy Drive Regional, we provide Respite service in two forms:

In-Home/Community Respite provides individuals who cannot care for themselves or needs assistance to do so with hourly support during their caregiver’s absence. This service is offered in Individual’s Home or out in the Community depending on the need of Individual/ family.

Eligibility Requirements:
Eligible for DDD Services
Supports Program Enrollment
Receiving Support Coordination

We provide Respite services in the counties of: Essex, Passaic, Morris, Warren and Hunterdon.
